Shop floor Terminals MES9000 User-friendly industrial PCs for manual workstations The versatile shop floor terminal of the new MES9000 series is the ideal HMI for paperless production and increases productivity through digital production data acquisition. Thanks to the large and intuitive multi-touch display, operating data can be recorded manually or production processes can be controlled - without any paperwork directly at the manual workstations. Thanks to the mounting concept, it can be integrated into existing production environments and peripheral devices such as a scanner and keyboard holder can be connected through the large number of interfaces. When things get rough in production: Moisture, dust, high temperatures, vibrations and shocks can quickly affect a terminal that is not sufficiently protected. The MES9000 series is optimally equipped. The front is made of tempered glass and is shock-proof according to IK08. The housing is fully protected against dust and water jets according to IP65 when the corresponding accessory kit is used.

Quick and simple: Beside the costs, time also plays an important role in the planning of projects. SHORTRON connect with direct M12 connection enables a simple, fast and, above all, safe installation of the pushbuttons and switches, because the M12 connection technology is designed in such a way that a reverse or incorrect polarity of the connections is not possible - based on the plug & work principle: plug in and start. In addition, no separate contact element is being needed as it already is integrated in the switch. Completely protected: For the use of SHORTRON connect, an expensive and time-consuming installation of an enclosure is no longer necessary as the IP65 / IP67 protection degree provides a reliable protection against water and dust, in the front as well as on the rear. This principle not only saves costs but also space, especially if the ergonomic SHORTRON connect mounting brackets are being used. They are designed for a simple and quick assembly on 40 mm profiles. By means of the 90° mounting bracket for vertical mounting, as well as the 135° mounting bracket for horizontal mounting, the pushbuttons and switches can be placed and organised as per customer's requirement. Also existing workstations can be expanded in the simplest way. For this purpose mounting brackets in three different versions with 1, 2 or 3 holes are available. Small with design: With a mounting depth of only 33.7 mm (emergency stop 26.7 mm), SHORTRON connect also has the typical compact design of the product family and is therefore ideally suitable for the use in machines, panels and operating units that are increasingly becoming smaller. It has also been taken care to maintain the familiar flat and attractive design of the series, so in addition to the silver-coloured and black front rings also the exclusive version with stainless steel front ring is available.

Georg Schlegel GmbH & Co. KG has expanded its SHORTRON M12 series with an emergency-stop for panel cutout 22.3 mm. The small and compact FRVKOO_M001 with twist release has the degree of protection IP65/IP67 in the front and IP65 on the rear and thus is also suitable for water-splash environments. The emergency-stop´s two contacts (AgNi) are constructed as normally closed contacts (NC) with positive opening according to EN60947-5-1. The emergency-stop has a life cycle of up to 50.000 switching cycles and is designed for a temperature range of -25°C to 70°C. This allows a reliable switching in numerous application fields. The 4-pole M12 connector is A-coded and connected to the emergency-stop via a 25 cm long PUR-cable. The electrical characteristics range from an operating voltage of max. Ue 35 V and operating currents of Ie 4A (AC15) resp. Ie 2A (DC13). The FRVKOO_M001 complies with the standards EN ISO 13850 and EN 60947-5-5.

Demonstration Gearbox for Visualizing a Magnetic Gear This demonstrator is designed to illustrate the operating principle of a magnetic gear. In the shown configuration, the ring gear is rigidly fixed to the housing. The system is driven via the 6-pole rotor. The modulator rotates with a transmission ratio of i = 5.6, meaning it turns 5.6 times slower than the rotor. Torque transmission without mechanical contact – and without lubrication.

These tubes are pressed flat, do not stick together and are easy to open. This makes printing quick and easy. The length of the markers can be adjusted individually. Fixed length shrink tubing on a roll is pressed flat and pre-assembled, secured to a plastic carrier. This makes printing quick and easy. The shrinkage ratio is 3:1.

Yaskawa's high-end Sigma series AC servo systems have proven themselves for decades in such diverse applications as packaging machines, semiconductor manufacturing, timber processing or digital printing machines. And with Sigma-X as the latest evolution in the series, Yaskawa is once again setting new standards in performance and ease of use. The very compact servo motors allows for the design of ever smaller machines. At the same time, the versatile tuning functions can be learned and applied very easily. Mechanically induced vibrations and resonances in the machine body are automatically detected and counteracted by the system. The acceleration sensors integrated in the new servo motors can now detect unwanted machine conditions at an early stage. In addition, the servo amplifier provides users with a variety of helpful information, such as electrical consumption, current power and temperature reserves, maintenance cycle indicators, vibrations, etc. This means that the performance of the machine is continuously monitored, analyzed and optimized in order to ensure maximum availability. The system is currently available for 200 V with a power output of 50 W to 15 kW. Models for 400 V will follow in the near future. Servo amplifiers for the simultaneous connection of up to three servo motors are also now available, as well as models with special firmware for use in gantry systems. The available interfaces are Analog/Pulse and EtherCAT. All servo amplifiers are fitted with Safe Torque Off (STO) as a functional safety feature. An option card for additional safety functions plus FSoE (Safety over EtherCAT) will be available in early 2025.

Application fields The 5580 is a configurable signal conditioner with monitor function for cost-effective continuous machine monitoring. It is designed to receive signals from seismic velocity sensors, accelerometers, or eddy current sensors (proximity) and generates a 4...20 mA output signal proportional to the measured variable. To complement the 5580, the SW5580 includes solid-state contacts (SPST) or optional floating relay contacts (SPDT).
