Our priority is to make the interaction between humans and robots not only productive and efficient, but above all safe. SICK's advanced safety technology plays a central role here. SICK's comprehensive portfolio of safety solutions enables smooth and safe interaction with the robot system, which reduces production downtimes. This can be achieved using intelligent sensors and quickly integrated safety systems. In combination with a wide range of services, from initial consultation, commissioning and maintenance to training and further education, we accompany you on the way to your individual and safe robot application.

SAFE, SIMPLE AND FAST!
Relay PPRS with Push-in-System Our PPRS relay bases with push-in connection system are available in versions for two- and four-changeover relays. The bases are designed for a rated voltage of 300 V and can be equipped with relays and the associated plug-in modules and status displays. In order to ensure the vibration safety of the relay, it is possible to mount a retaining bracket. The pluggable external cross-connectors and doubled connection elements enable simple potential distribution.

SafeGuiding
SafeGuiding is a technology package for moving KUKA industrial robots manually and intuitively in AUTOMATIC mode. There are two options for this: - via force/torque sensor, e.g. for fast teaching of paths - via an external input device such as joysticks, e.g. for reorienting components or as a manipulator application

safeRS/safeRS3 - Safe radar systems for hazardous area protection in harsh environments
The safeRS and safeRS3 safe radar systems are electro-sensitive 3D protective devices for safe personal detection with very high machine productivity. They protect applications in accordance with PL d or SIL 2 in line with ISO 13849-1 and IEC 62061. A radar system consists of an evaluation unit and up to 6 sensors which enable switchover to a protected mode as soon as a person enters the protected area. The high resistance to dirt, dust clouds, wood chips, plastic particles and sparks as well as the insensitivity to ambient light such as solar radiation or infrared waves enables reliable operation, even under the toughest ambient conditions. The radar systems stand out due to their rugged sensor housing and quick and easy commissioning. Benefits -Modular system for adjusting to your protection tasks up to performance level d/SIL 2, in accordance with ISO 13849-1 and IEC 62061 -Extended hazardous area protection thanks to three-dimensional protective field -Very high machine and plant productivity, even under harsh ambient conditions -Reliable use even at extreme temperatures -Radar sensors with long cleaning intervals -Quick and easy commissioning

Safety

Safety & Security
Safety is not a product, but a process, deeply rooted in the DNA of your automation. Functional safety and industrial security form two strands that intertwine like a double helix. It is only when they interact that the resilience that protects people, machines and data in equal measure is created.
