
Sandex: Alpha Series
They make things turn, move along, align, and stop. Cams can create every kind of movement, from simple to complex, without the need for any other program of control. They do not cause vibration during motion or result in residual vibration, and they facilitate high-speed positioning at low energy expenditure. This, the most reliable mechanical element, makes motion control possible. In the field of industrial automation machinery, various types of cams have been used intensively, from ancient times. Indexing cam devices, in particular, have the desirable features of high speed, great rigidity, high precision, and compact shape, so these are widely used in various types of automated machines. Sankyo Seisakusho has combined a roller gear cam and a cam follower, to develop the first-in-Japan indexing cam mechanism we call Sandex. Since that innovation, it has been applied to provide highly precise and efficient positioning for such devices as inspection, assembly and filling machines. The Alpha Series is an all-in-one indexing drive package complete with a cost-effective shaft-mounted gearmotor on a low-profile housing. After reviewing the design, this indexing drive has been made more user-friendly by building on the roller gear cam mechanism found in all of our SANDEX products, which have set high production records.

Sarissa Hand Module: Error-Free Picking and Handling Processes
The Sarissa hand module detects hand position during assembly, packaging and order picking with maximum precision, enabling a zero-error rate. The lightweight sensor technology (21–27 g depending on the model) is attached to the bandage or glove with a clip fastener, can be quickly recharged and offers a operating time of up to 12 hours.

Sarissa's laser visualisation offers an innovative solution for displaying worker guidance as a laser projection. When connected to a high-quality laser projector, it opens up new applications by using coloured laser projections (e.g., red, green, yellow, or magenta) to visualise work steps. This technology enables sharp projection on the assembly surface, independent of room lighting, which reduces throughput time and simplifies operator guidance.

The Sarissa tool module detects the position of freely movable tools with millimetre precision and reliably prevents errors caused by incorrect positioning, faulty work sequences or insufficient dwell times. The smart, wireless ultrasonic transmitter can be easily attached to almost any tool, is quick to charge and offers an operating time of up to 12 hours. Numerous mechanical and software interfaces enable easy integration into existing systems.

Scara-Roboter
SCARA-Robots SCARA robots are often used for the fast removal and movement of workpieces, smaller assembly applications such as screwing, and for the precise dosing of liquids, adhesives and sealants. Cost-effective IXP series Adopting stepper motors in the IXP series allows much lower necessary investments than for conventional models. The IXP-series achieves a payload equivalent to that of conventional models by using high-output drivers. All IXP models are equipped with battery-less absolute encoders. Robots of this series are lighter than conventional models and they are available with either 3-axis or 4-axis with an already installed electrical gripper. IX SCARA-Robots for high performance IX SCARA-robots have the best performance in their class in terms of high speed performance, payload and positioning repeatability. In addition to standard versions, there are also ultra-compact models and high-speed types available. Special designs for normal and inverse ceiling or wall mounting complete this series. Robots of this series achieves high speed, payload and precision.
