Ready for M12 - ingeniously simple! new contact block series
The new contact block series FRT connect brings pushbuttons and switches to the M12 world Most pushbuttons and switches are still equipped with screw, Faston or clamping connection. This kind of wiring is associated with an increased effort and is also prone to errors. Those problems are solved by changing to the M12 connection. The disadvantage: Up to now, this change to M12 mostly requires the exchange of the complete series. The new contact block series FRT connect of GEORG SCHLEGEL GmbH & Co. KG with its M12 connection provides remedy. The new FRT connect contact blocks make existing systems "ready for M12". This contact block series allows to equip pushbuttons and switches of various ranges with a M12 connector. Quick and simple. Suitable for many ranges All SCHLEGEL pushbuttons and switches with 16 mm housing neck and 3 mm travel can be combined with the FRT connect contact blocks to make them M12 compatible. If NC or NO contact, or with illumination option – the diversity of possible contact equipments covers all options. There are connectors with 4 poles with SCHLEGEL pin assignment or with 5 poles with AIDA pin assignment to choose from. A long life time and a high switching capacity are completing the list of advantages of the series FRT connect. More individuality is hardly possible.

ipf electronic is constantly expanding its program of LED lights. Currently, an LED machine light and a mobile hand lamp complete the wide range of products. The new LED machine light EM510101 with a power consumption of 24W has a color temperature of 6.000 Kelvin (daylight white). The light (total length 597mm, diameter 51mm) is designed in IP67 and is therefore also suitable for more demanding industrial applications. The LED cover made of tempered glass protects the illuminants and ensures a uniform radiation characteristic of the light. In addition to the advantages of an energy-saving and equally robust and durable solution, the machine light also facilitates installation and alignment, as it can also be subsequently adjusted using the mounting material. The perfect companion, e.g. for maintenance and repair work or inspections, is the mobile LED hand lamp EY000001 with adjustable light intensity from ipf electronic. Due to the integrated holding magnets the lamp can be easily fixed on metallic surfaces. Furthermore, it has a fastening hook. With the articulated joint the lamp can be adjusted on site. The user has the choice between a surface LED and an LED spot. Finally, a warning light function (red light) completes the EY000001's versatile, mobile application possibilities. The LED hand lamp is charged via a USB port.

Bachmann electronic has taken a decisive step forward in the development of its new M100 system: The M100 platform is now becoming a standalone, complete automation system thanks to a comprehensive family of control modules. Module channels can be assigned automatically to minimize configuration effort. Tool-free potential bridges, push-in terminals, and QR codes for quick module identification also speed up installation and commissioning. With all these innovations, robustness remains a key promise: The modules can withstand shock accelerations of up to 30 g, continuous vibrations of 6 g, operating temperatures from –30°C to +70°C, and condensation. EMC-safe metal housings, screws with captive fasteners, and a stable bus rail with screw mounting ensure maximum availability – not least in harsh environments.

Remote Escape Release
An unprecedented innovation among the Pizzato safety devices, the remote escape release allows the safety switch to be unlocked remotely in cases where conventional release devices are not easily accessible due to the configuration of the machinery. The Pizzato Elettrica remote escape release, which can be attached to the NG and NS series RFID safety switches with guard locking, is equipped with an innovative safety mechanism which causes the machine to stop immediately and safely in the event that the cable should break or loosen. The activation of the release, as well as any failure or anomaly, are indicated by a control arrow that is positioned at the relative symbols marked on the device, allowing a quick diagnosis by the user. There is also a graphic display that indicates the correct tension of the actuation cable, in order to facilitate its installation. The remote escape release can be turned in 90° steps to select the cable outlet orientation most suitable for the application on the machine. The compact housing for the the escape release button must be connected to the opposite end of the actuation cable; there are two installation options for this enclosure which has a rugged internal metallic structure: screwed to the outside of the guard chassis, which is closed by covering with the cap; inside the guard chassis, on a panel with standard Ø 22 mm holes, leaving only the mushroom activation button visible. The remote escape release on the NS series safety devices already equipped with a front or rear release device can also be installed at a later time by means of a simple procedure for uninstalling the upper block of the switch.This makes it possible to use the safety switches that are already present with no need to buy another entire device.

Remote I/O devices from LAPP – ecentralised acquisition and control of process data
With the new remote I/O devices, LAPP is now closing a gap in the automation pyramid. These are active components that are ideal for decentralised use, i.e. outside the control cabinet. Decentralised in use IO-Link is a standardised communication system that was specially developed for the integration of sensors and actuators in automation systems. It enables a point-to-point connection between an IO-Link device (e.g. a sensor) and an IO-Link master and allows decentralised acquisition and control of process data by connecting sensors and actuators to the control system via a bus interface. IO-Link enables the bidirectional exchange of process data and parameters for configuring sensors and actuators. In addition, event and diagnostic data is transmitted to provide feedback on faults or additional information.
