The new dual-plug amplifier PAM-392-P from WEST Elektronik GmbH

**Power Amplifier: Features and Benefits** A power amplifier is essential for the precise control of proportional valves, particularly in applications requiring high reliability and flexible adjustments. This compact and cost-effective amplifier is specifically designed for directional valves with two solenoids and is suitable for numerous industrial applications. **Compact Design and Easy Integration** The device is housed in a DIN EN 175 301-803 connector and mounted directly onto the valve. An M12 cable connection and an additional valve connector enable quick and seamless integration into existing systems. **Flexibility and Current Regulation** It supports input signals such as +/- 0…10 V or 4…20 mA. The regulated output current (up to 2.6 A) operates reliably, regardless of supply voltage or coil resistance. **Easy Configuration** The amplifier can be configured via USB Type Mini 2.0, LIN bus, or a programming adapter (ULA-310). The WPC software allows intuitive adjustment of key parameters such as RAMP, MIN/MAX, output current, and DITHER. **Safety and Monitoring Features** The short-circuit-proof output stage monitors for wire breaks and automatically shuts down in case of errors. This enhances operational safety, even in critical applications. **Characteristic Curve Adjustment** The valve characteristic curve can be linearized with up to 21 XY points, ensuring a linear relationship between input signal and output pressure, for example, in pressure valves. **Versatile Applications** The amplifier is compatible with proportional valves from manufacturers such as BOSCH REXROTH, BUCHER, DUPLOMATIC, and PARKER, making it highly versatile. **Conclusion** With its compact design, flexible configuration options, and high compatibility, the power amplifier is an efficient solution for the precise control of proportional valves in industrial applications.

    2. Trustpoint Software Stack

      Trustpoint Software Stack

Trustpoint is built as a modular, open-source software stack for industrial certificate and identity management, designed to run reliably in OT environments. At its core, Trustpoint is a web-based PKI management platform that can operate either as a local Certificate Authority (CA) or as a Registration Authority (RA) connected to upstream PKIs. The stack provides native support for industrial enrollment and management protocols such as CMP (RFC 9480/9483), EST (RFC 7030), and REST-based APIs, enabling interoperability with a wide range of devices, automation systems, and existing PKI infrastructures. A protocol orchestrator abstracts these interfaces, allowing devices to be onboarded and managed using different methods without changing the underlying trust model. Trustpoint includes built-in components for certificate lifecycle management—issuance, renewal, revocation (CRL), and trust store distribution—combined with domain-based trust separation, where devices are grouped under dedicated cryptographic policies and issuing authorities. Keys can be generated locally, securely handled, and optionally protected using HSM or PKCS#11 interfaces. The platform is containerized (Docker-first), enabling flexible deployment in factories, edge environments, or isolated (air-gapped) networks. A web UI and REST API support user-driven onboarding, browser-based credential retrieval, and automation workflows, while Zero-Touch Onboarding mechanisms (e.g., IDevID-based onboarding) are integrated as part of the stack. Published under the MIT license, the Trustpoint software stack is designed to be extensible, vendor-neutral, and suitable for long-term operation in industrial environments with limited connectivity, legacy devices, and strict security requirements.

    4. WERMA expands its successful MC55 series with the "MC55 High"

WERMA expands its successful MC55 series with the "MC55 High"

With the new "MC55 High," WERMA Signaltechnik continues the success story of the compact MC55 signal light series. The 55 mm diameter light has a higher dome, offering significantly better visibility – even from a greater distance or at unfavourable viewing angles. It can be flexibly integrated and is ideal for applications where status indicators must be in the operator's direct field of vision, such as on machines, conveyor belts, in robot cells, or on peripheral devices. "With the MC55 High, we have created a solution that seamlessly adapts to the requirements of modern industrial environments – visible from afar, eye-catching, flexible, and smartly expandable," says Daniel Kensy, Head of Development at WERMA. "The new design with a higher dome was developed specifically in response to feedback from our customers and represents the next logical step within the MC55 family."

    5. WERMA presents LineLIGHT Fusion Segment | Integrated signaling solution – now also with segmented lighting function

WERMA presents LineLIGHT Fusion Segment | Integrated signaling solution – now also with segmented lighting function

With the introduction of the first modular signal tower KombiSIGN, WERMA Signaltechnik set a technological milestone and defined a new standard for industrial signaling. The family-owned company is now consistently continuing this innovative strength: Following the development of LineLIGHT Fusion – the first fully integrable signaling solution – the next evolutionary stage is now here: LineLIGHT Fusion Segment. This new variant makes it possible to divide the light pattern into several segments and display machine statuses even more precisely, individually, and intuitively. For example, two states can be signaled simultaneously, indicating an even more specific need for action. In addition, an automatic scaling function is available, allowing process steps or progress to be clearly displayed. WERMA is once again setting standards for modern machine design and intelligent signaling solutions.

    6. Wireless inductive sensors with flexible switching points for flush and non-flush mounting

Wireless inductive sensors with flexible switching points for flush and non-flush mounting

On the outside, nothing has changed. But the completely reworked RF IS FL wireless inductive sensors, which steute steute business division Controltec will be presenting at the AAA 2025, feature new high-utility functions for users in mechanical and plant engineering, as well as industrial manufacturing. Two goals were at the heart of the re-design. Firstly, the cylindrical sensors in diameters M 8, M 12, M 18 and M 30 are now also suitable for flush mounting. To date, this was not possible because battery-powered wireless inductive sensors with a fixed switching point would detect the surrounding metallic material and switch accordingly. This unfortunately often ruled out their use in some applications – e.g. the detection of material handling in robot grippers, or the detection of workpieces in machine tools or assembly and handling units. The steute engineers have managed to open up these additional application fields by developing their latest generation as FLexible sensors with digital autocalibration. The inductive sensors now no longer have a fixed switching point, but adjust their switching point automatically and dynamically to the situation in question. And this includes the distinction between flush and non-flush mounting. The sensors can even adjust to dynamic changes, such as increasing dirt levels. The sensors are thus always fit for use and only switch when required by the situation or the user. The second goal – reduced power consumption – has also been achieved. Certain measures now considerably lengthen the battery lifetime in the universal radio modules, suitable for connection to up to four RF IS FL. Overall, the power requirement could be reduced by as much as 80%, compared to the previous model.
