PN-CAN-Gateway
The PN/CAN gateway CANopen represents a full-featured CANopen master. As a master, the gateway supports network management, SYNC telegrams, nodeguarding/heartbeat for monitoring the nodes and LSS services. Up to 16 PDOs can be configured per CANopen slave. The parameterization of the CANopen nodes via SDO telegrams and the management of emergency messages is also possible. On the PROFINET network, the PN/CAN gateway is a PROFINET I/O device and supports transmission rates of up to 100 Mbit full duplex; on the CAN bus, up to 1 Mbit/s is supported. The I/O data of the CAN nodes are mapped transparently and freely configurable into the PROFINET network and can thus be processed directly in the PLC. The PN/CAN gateway is integrated into the hardware configurator with a GSDML file and can be fully configured there. Further software tools for parameterization, or handling blocks for programming, are not necessary, which makes the use of the gateway uncomplicated. The features MRP (media redundancy) as well as extensive diagnostic functions and an interface for online diagnostics complete the performance characteristics of the PN/CAN gateway.

PN/EtherNetIP Coupler
With the PN/EtherNetIP Coupler, a simple and uncomplicated connection of a PROFINET machine to an EtherNet/IP machine is possible. The PN/EtherNetIP Coupler allows data transmission between a PROFINET controller and an EtherNet/IP PLC. Received input data on one side of the network are made available as output data on the other side of the network to the PLC. The I/O data exchange takes place live and as fast as possible without further handling blocks. The maximum size of the transferable I/O data is 1024 bytes. Up to 3 input and 3 output assemblies can be configured on the EtherNet/IP network side. Up to 300 slots are available for I/O modules. The integration into the PLC engineering tool is made possible by a GSDML file, an extra configuration software is not necessary. The configuration of the I/O data to be exchanged is performed in the Siemens engineering tool. An EDS file matching the configuration can then be downloaded from the website by the PN/EtherNetIP Coupler and used to configure the EtherNet/IP PLC.

PN/MQTT Coupler
The MQTT protocol has become established in recent years as a simple transmission protocol for messages in the IoT world. MQTT stands for "Message Queue Telemetry Transport Protocol" and is an OASIS standard. The MQTT protocol always uses a central broker for communication between devices, which receives messages from, for example, a sensor and forwards them to interested devices, such as a control unit. When a sensor sends data to the broker, it is called a "publish". If a device needs data, it must subscribe to the broker ("Subscribe"). The broker delivers the data to all subscribers when new data has arrived from the publisher. With the PN/MQTT Coupler it is possible to transfer values between a PROFINET machine (PLC) and a MQTT broker. It is possible to send values from the PLC via PROFINET to a broker ("Publish") as well as to subscribe values from a MQTT broker and receive them in the PLC via PROFINET ("Subscribe"). The integration into the PLC engineering tool is enabled by a GSDML file, an extra configuration software is not necessary. All settings for the MQTT connection can be done on the web page of the device. MQTT brokers can be connected locally in the own network ("On premise") as well as via the internet in the cloud. Direct integration into the PLC puts full control of the data exchange with the IoT world in the hands of the programmer.

PN/PN Coupler
Seamless data flow across networks. With the PN/PN Coupler, a simple and uncomplicated connection of two separate PROFINET networks is possible. The PN/PN Coupler enables data transmission between two PROFINET controllers. A PROFINET IO device is on both PROFINET network sides. Received input data on one of the network sides is made available as output data to the other network side. The IO data transfer takes place live and as quickly as possible without additional handling blocks. The maximum size of the transmitted IO data is 1024 bytes. Up to 16 slots for IO modules of 1 byte and up to 128 bytes are available. The incorporation into the PLC engineering tool is made possible by a GSDML file; special configuration software isn’t necessary.
