With the new SPE (Single Pair Ethernet) technology, the XELAN Ethernet can transmit data over a distance of up to 2 km with a constant baud rate of 10 MBit/s. Both point-point and point-multipoint structures can be implemented. The plug & play solution does not require any further software configuration. The robust devices are intended for mounting on DIN rails. The wide temperature range from -20°C to +70°C and the 24 VDC power supply via a screw terminal are also suitable for industrial use.

Intelligent Ethernet I/O modules In industrial automation, building management systems and IoT environments, the requirements for reliability, flexibility and precise control are constantly increasing. Systems must be able to efficiently capture, process and control digital and analog signals in increasingly complex network infrastructures. The ET-2200 series has been developed to fulfill these challenges. These Ethernet-based I/O modules offer a wide range of digital and analog inputs and outputs. With support for ModbusTCP, MQTT and SNMP communication protocols, the ET-2200 series can be easily integrated into existing HMI, SCADA and PLC systems. The built-in Ethernet switch with two ports allows you to easily set up a daisy-chain topology. This means that several modules can be installed in a distribution cabinet without an additional switch. This significantly reduces cabling effort and costs. Advanced functions such as dual watchdog, PWM support and frequency measurement ensure high operational reliability and precision in control tasks. A particular strength of the ET-2200 series is the LAN bypass functionality, which maintains network connectivity even in the event of a power failure, which is essential for critical applications. As a special function, the ET-2200 series offers the “I/O Pair Connection”, with which a “digital” mirror can be realized in no time at all. This allows the information of a digital input from one module to be mirrored directly to a digital output of another module. This allows you to configure devices quickly and efficiently, so no additional controller is required.

Ethernet IO Modules with IO-Link Master
The new Ethernet IO modules from Pepperl+Fuchs support all common Ethernet protocols, such as PROFINET, EtherNet/IP and EtherCAT. The L-encoded M12 plug, compliant with the power-connection concept newly defined by the PNO, supplies the connected units with currents of up to 16 A with no additional installation needs. The modules can be used independently of the control panel and permit autonomous applications. They clear the way for distributed signal transfer within the meaning of Industrie 4.0. The multiprotocol feature permits standardization in the machine where different module types were previously required. Change between protocols by simply using a rotary selector switch. The IP address for EtherNet/IP can also be directly set. The integrated web server allows for complete parameterization in addition to addressing, as well as the retrieval of status and diagnostic information via PC. The new power concept with an L-encoded M12 plug-in connector provides a power supply of up to 16 A and can therefore also cover peak loads. This reduces parallel wiring and supply adjustments by up to 40 percent. The robust, fully cast metal housing has an IP65/67 degree of protection and is very compact at only 200 mm long and 18 mm high. Simple programming is sufficient for the modules to perform distributed functions and to take the load off the central control panel. Complexity of communication and response times are reduced and a central overview is maintained. The distributed logic can be limited to some of the IOs, while the others continue under the central control panel. This permits an interaction between the control panel and the distributed process program. The integrated isochronous real time (IRT) switch supports the MRP ring topologies for PROFINET and DLR for EtherNet/IP. Ethernet IO modules support multiple protocols and provide currents of 16 A via the M12 connection.

The EticCUBE solution enables the outdoor installation of the RAS machine access boxes and the IPL VPN router. EticCUBE also allows the antenna to be positioned up to 100 meters away from the industrial process. The product comes with an integrated PoE splitter and antenna. A PoE injector is also included, allowing the device to be powered via the Ethernet cable.

For rack and pinion drives, planetary gearboxes with a factory-mounted pinion offer the ideal drive solution. Neugart is now introducing a particularly economical model with this option and is also refining the corresponding range. This allows design engineers to choose from an even greater number of possible pinion and gearbox combinations when implementing racks. For the first time, Neugart is now offering the PLPE Economy planetary gearbox with a factory-mounted pinion. This provides a particularly economical alternative for selection. The PLPE offers high performance at the price of an economy gearbox: It is based on the proven Neugart economy gearing technology. The reinforced deep groove ball bearings mounted on the output side are designed for greater radial and axial forces – compared to the PLE gearbox. Thanks to the wide range of different motor adapters, the PLPE can be attached to almost all standard servo motors in just a few simple steps. Its compact outer contour also allows it to be used in situations where space is limited. The PLPE is available with a pinion in four frame sizes: 070, 090, 120 and 155. The PK1 series of pinions has also been added to the range. These pinions are mounted on the toothed output shaft of the gearbox. Toothing to DIN 5480 ensures the necessary connection reliability. A total of seven additional PK1 pinions are now available: two with helical teeth and five with straight teeth. The new variants also include a helical and a straight pinion with module 1.5 teeth.
