STEIN link® now classified for cleanrooms up to ISO Class 5

STEIN Automation has successfully had its intelligent shuttle system, STEIN link®, classified for cleanrooms up to ISO Class 5. This makes the system suitable for production environments with stringent requirements for cleanliness and low particle counts. STEIN link® transports products and materials using battery-powered, independently moving shuttles. Unlike conventional solutions, the system does not require power rails along the travel path. This eliminates the need for a continuous energy infrastructure, simplifying installation, system planning, and future expansion. Each shuttle has its own battery management system. Batteries can be changed manually or automatically – independently of the ongoing production process and without affecting cycle time. The modular system concept, featuring switches, curves, and lifts, allows for individual adaptation to different production layouts. STEIN link® can be installed on the floor, wall, or ceiling. Transport across multiple levels is also possible. This allows for efficient use of available space and saves valuable production area. The combination of cleanroom suitability, battery-powered shuttle technology and modular system concept makes STEIN link® a flexible and scalable transport solution for demanding production environments.
