Bachmann’s atvise® product family, which encompasses visualization, operation, production data acquisition, and control station technology (SCADA) based on OPC UA and web technology, has received important updates with versions 3.13 and 3.14.
atvise® 3.13 introduces the connection of atvise® connect X 1.0, a new connectivity solution that will be available from the second quarter of 2026. In addition, the linear conversion function has been revised to support additional data types when writing values to the controller. This enables even more flexible and precise data processing.
Another focus is on expanding the supported data types when writing arrays to the controller. Support for Boolean, SByte, Byte, Int16, UInt16, Int64, and UInt64 ensures compatibility with a wider range of control systems. Underlying libraries, including OPC UA and Highcharts, have also been updated to optimize performance and stability.
Important improvements have been made in terms of security. The injection of unwanted code into tables via scripting is now prevented, and access control has been extended to include node verification in scripting. Two-factor authentication has also been improved. The validity period of one-time passwords can now be configured, which increases security during login. In addition, a grace period for restoring user sessions after a connection loss has been implemented to minimize interruptions in the workflow.
To prevent client-side manipulation attempts via the OPC UA interface, additional access control checks have been implemented in the atvise® server. These measures help to ensure data integrity and system security.
atvise® 3.14 introduces support for current operating systems such as Windows Server 2025 and Debian 13 to ensure compatibility with modern IT infrastructures. Support for the latest browser versions has also been ensured to provide optimal user experience.
