The new horstOS release expands fruitcore robotics’ automation software with numerous functions that make processes faster, more flexible, and easier. At the heart of the update is the “parallel processes” function, which allows users to execute multiple operations simultaneously—completely graphically and without PLC knowledge. Among other things, this significantly reduces cycle times in parts separation, as robot movement and component localization take place in parallel. The interface integrates seamlessly into the existing user interface and enables complex processes to be set up quickly without external expert knowledge.
Another key element is the new project management system with preconfigured project templates, which makes it easier to organize different applications. The component library with over 200 preconfigured accessories—including 3D models, standard functions, interfaces, and documentation—enables quick and high-quality creation of individual setups.
An advanced palletizing wizard is available for palletizing tasks, which creates multi-layer pallets entirely graphically and significantly simplifies setup. The new auto-start function enables fully automatic system startup, including initialization and program launch, so that the robot starts operating independently after being switched on. In addition, a new IoT function automatically sends an email notification in the event of downtime, thereby increasing system availability.
fruitcore robotics is also expanding its pioneering role in AI-supported automation: The updated AI Copilot is now based on the latest ChatGPT technology, provides more precise answers, and enables natural, dialogue-based interaction. Future enhancements such as voice input are designed to further simplify intuitive, AI-supported programming and increase efficiency in all phases of automation.
