Cambrian is an add-on for collaborative and industrial robots. The AI-based solution
gives the robot arm human-level capabilities for various manufacturing tasks such as pick-and-place, bin picking, cable insertion and much more. The hardware of our solution consists of two
standard 2D cameras in a protective housing and, depending on the application, can be mounted directly on the robot as an end-of-arm solution or stationary above the workstation. At the heart of Cambrian Vision is AI-based software on a powerful IPC to process the image data. All we need is the CAD data of the parts to be processed and to define the possible pick points. The intelligence of our software is used to generate a 3D image. This enables us to achieve an exceptionally
fast recognition speed of less than 170 ms. The system accuracy is
at the sub-millimetre level (<1 mm), enabling cycle times of only 2-3 seconds
for demanding bin picking tasks. Cambrian Vision excels at reliably recognising transparent, shiny, flexible (cables) or black parts and is completely independent of structured light. Our vision is to give robots Our vision is to give robots
