In order to be able to position components flexibly and precisely rotational, IEF-Werner has different rotary tables in its programme, which vary in size and load capacity, among other things. The largest NC rotary table in the portfolio, the DT 160/200, is now also available as manual version.

“We now also offer our largest NC rotary table for manual operation,” Product Manager for manual adjustment units Fabian Wald and Thomas Hettich, responsible for motorised rotary tables from IEF-Werner, announce. “This makes it suitable for applications in which the operator only rarely needs to change the position, and the more expensive motorised version would not be worthwhile.” Since its market launch, the new MDV 160/200 has also been frequently used for preliminary tests or, for example, at the start of a project to verify processes – a cost-effective and efficient solution for some applications.

If required, the manual rotary actuator can be retrofitted with a motor at any time, as the housing is identical and the handwheel can be easily replaced with a gearbox with flange-mounted motor. The maximum input torque is 3.0 Newton metres and the maximum output torque is 80 Newton metres. With a width of 160, a height of 200 and a depth of 90 millimetres, the MDV 160/200 weighs 9.8 kilograms. “Its size and load capacity make it attractive for large and heavy components,” Wald explains.
