The models 5550 and 5550G Mechanical Switch provide basic, economical vibration protection through a simple and highly reliable spring-mass mechanism. The presence of sufficient vibration along the switch’s sensitive axis triggers a change in state. This enables automatic machine shutdown or alarming.
To restart the switch, it must be reset locally by means of a reset button (5550 only) or by applying an electrical voltage (standard for 5550G, opt. for 5550). A built-in switch-on delay suppresses tripping during start-up.
